On 17 July, the “A Vibrant World—International Touring Exhibition of Paintings from China National Academy of Painting” along with the special exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of the China Cultural Centre in Singapore, officially opened. Ambassador Cao Zhongming, and his wife, Madam Yang Qing, Singapore’s Ambassador to UNESCO and Dean of Culture Academy Mrs Rosa Daniel and other distinguished guests attended the event.

Ambassador Cao noted in his speech that the Chinese painting embodies the unique Chinese perspectives on the universe, nature, and life. It is not only a form of artistic expression but also a reflection of philosophical thought, vividly conveying the aesthetics and cultural spirit of the Chinese people through every brushstroke and ink wash. He expressed his hope that this thoughtfully curated exhibition by the China National Academy of Painting would offer Singaporean friends a chance to deeply appreciate the unique charm and rich heritage of Chinese culture, adding vitality to cultural exchanges between China and Singapore.

The exhibition is funded by the China National Arts Fund and jointly organized by the China National Academy of Painting and the China Cultural Centre in Singapore. It will be on view until August 31.
