On June 26, to celebrate the 16th International Day of the Seafarer, Minister-Counselor Zhu Jing of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore visited Chinese crews aboard the container vessel COSCO Shipping Taurus, accompanied by Mr. Jiang Kai, General Manager of COSCO Shipping (Southeast Asia) Co., Ltd.

Minister-Counselor Zhu first conveyed greetings from Ambassador Cao Zhongming to captain Wang Zhenlu and the rest of the crews. He then presented the crews with care packages, encourage them to prioritize safe operations, take good care of their mental and physical health. He wished every crew a safe and successful voyage and early reunion with their families. He emphasized that the Chinese Embassy will always stand as strong support for the Chinese citizens and encouraged them to contact Chinese embassies and consulates promptly whenever they encounter difficulties oversea.

On behalf of the entire crew, Captain Wang Zhenlu expressed his gratitude for the care and concern shown by the motherland and for the Embassy’s visit. He stated that the crew would remain dedicated to their duties, fulfill their responsibilities, ensure the safe operation of the vessel, and successfully accomplish the mission.
