On 21 September 2026, Ambassador Cao Zhongming attended and addressed the 2026 CGS China-ASEAN Business Leaders Summit, co-hosted by the Chinese Enterprises Association (Singapore) and China Galaxy Securities.

Ambassador Cao noted that this year marks the 5th anniversary of the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with fruitful cooperation achievements delivered across all fields. China stands ready to work with ASEAN countries to build an even closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future and contribute to regional stability, prosperity and development. It is hoped that entrepreneurs from China and ASEAN will seize development opportunities, tap the potential of two-way investment, pursue stronger growth through joint efforts, and ensure that practical cooperation delivers tangible benefits and well-being to people of all sides.

Under the theme of “Where Two Blocs Meet”, the event gathered over 400 political and business representatives from China and ASEAN countries.
