Ambassador Cao Zhongming Meets with Chairman of Business China Mr Lee Yi Shyan
On April 17, Ambassador Cao Zhongming met with Mr. Lee Yi Shyan, Chairman of Business China to exchange views on deepening China-Singapore economic and trade cooperation and strengthening talent development, among other issues. Ms Kwek Poh Heok, Chief Executive Officer of Business China, Minister-Counselor Han Jun and Counselor Kang Yiming of the Chinese Embassy attended the meeting.

Ambassador Cao Zhongming noted that China‑Singapore economic and trade cooperation has maintained steady growth and people‑to‑people exchanges have continued to deepen, with broad potential. Business China has long been committed to enhancing mutual trust and understanding between the two countries and plays a unique role in advancing bilateral cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed the hope that Business China will continue to leverage its strengths and make greater contributions to deepening bilateral business relations.
Chairman Lee Yi Shyan stated that Business China aims to bring together outstanding bilingual and bicultural talents and enterprises in Singapore, to foster a key force for in-depth economic and trade cooperation between China and Singapore. He looked forward to closer communication and coordination with the Chinese Embassy in Singapore to further connect Singapore and the world with China.
