On January 31, 2026, Ambassador Cao Zhongming attended the “New Year Journey · Hello! China” China Tourism Routes Promotion Event together with more than 200 representatives from various sectors in Singapore. Counsellor Cai Shandi from the embassy was also present.

Ambassador Cao noted in his speech that tourism is an important channel for enhancing people-to-people exchanges and deepening friendship between China and Singapore. The more than ten featured travel routes promoted by major Singaporean travel agencies on this occasion not only fully showcase the natural beauty of China, but also offer in-depth exploration of the richness of Chinese culture. He expressed his hope that people here in Singapore would visit China in person, see it for themselves, and gain a real, multidimensional and comprehensive understanding of a contemporary China that is united and progressive, open and inclusive, and full of vitality.

At the event, Ambassador Cao also presented awards to the winners of the China Tourism Routes Collection and Promotion Campaign as well as the first-prize winner of the Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of China–Singapore Diplomatic Relations NETS FlashPay Logo Design Competition.
