On February 4th, Ambassador Cao Zhongming met with Mr. Yao Zhisheng, Member of Standing Committee of 14th CPPCC National Committee, and Chairman of the Hong Kong Association for Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, and his wife, at the embassy.

Ambassador Cao extended Chinese New Year greetings to Chairman Yao, thanked his years of dedication to deepening cooperation between Chinese mainland and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with Singapore in such areas as economy and trade, and expressed admiration for Chairman Yao’s long-standing dedication to philanthropy.

Chairman Yao Zhisheng briefed Ambassador Cao on Hong Kong’s economic development and social stability, and expressed his willingness to continue contributing to the development of China-Singapore relations.
