A Moving Reunion Dinner for the Chinese New Year Held at the Embassy
On January 22, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore held a "Moving Reunion Dinner" to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year. At the invitation of Ambassador Cao Zhongming and his wife Madame Yang Qing, Singapore's Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and Ministry of Trade and Industry Ms Low Yen Ling, Member of Parliament Ms Joan Pereira, Chief Executive Officer National Heritage Board Ms Chang Hwee Nee, as well as representatives from Singapore's various sectors and Chinese enterprises attended the event.

Ambassador Cao noted in his speech that the Chinese New Year is a moment of family reunion, and that is the reason why the Embassy chose this time of the year to host a reunion dinner to thank all the friends who have contributed to the development of China-Singapore relations. The year 2025 marks the 35th anniversary of China-Singapore diplomatic ties. Under the strategic guidance of the two countries' leaders, China-Singapore cooperation has produced fruitful results and has even brighter prospects because of its huge potential. Ambassador Cao also sent his Chinese New Year greetings to all the guests and wished prosperity and everlasting friendship for China and Singapore.

Chefs from the Committee for Cantonese Cuisine Industry of the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry worked together with the Embassy to present a hearty reunion dinner for all. Guests at the event spoke highly of the fruitful outcomes of China-Singapore cooperation and wished new heights for China-Singapore relations.
