On June 14, 2022, Ambassador Sun Haiyan met with Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry to exchange views on China-Singapore relations, economic and trade cooperation as well as people-to-people exchanges.

Ambassador Sun said that she is ready to work with MOS Low and Singaporean friends from all walks of life to actively implement the consensus reached between leaders of the two countries, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields such as trade, economy and people-to-people exchanges with the "Belt and Road Initiative" as the main axis so as to script a new chapter in China-Singapore relations as the two countries embark on a path to post-pandemic recovery, deliver new benefits to the two peoples and inject new impetus into regional stability and prosperity.

MOS Low expressed her warm welcome to Ambassador Sun, commented positively on the strong and longstanding economic and trade relations between Singapore and China, saying that Singapore highly values the development of relations with China and is willing to continue to deepen pragmatic cooperation across the board and people-to-people exchanges with China for the benefit of the two countries and the region.
