Ambassador Cao Zhongming attends the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation

On May 15, Ambassador Cao Zhongming attended the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation and delivered a speech. Mr. Chee Hong Tat, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance of Singapore and Mr. Akanat Promphan, Industry Minister of Thailand, addressed the event respectively. Mr. Ling Ji, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative, delivered a video speech. Minister Counselor Zong Changqing of the Embassy was also present.

In his speech, Ambassador Cao said substantial progress has been made in the China-U.S. high-level meeting on economic and trade affairs, which was convened in Geneva, Switzerland couple of days ago. The two sides issued the Joint Statement on China-U.S. Economic and Trade Meeting in Geneva and reached a number of positive consensuses. The progress is in line with the expectations of manufacturers and consumers in both countries, and serves the common interests of both countries and the world at large. China will unswervingly promote high-level opening up, continue to deepen industrial cooperation with other countries, and bring greater development opportunities to enterprises across the world.

The 2025 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation is jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Conference themed by "Green Development, Digital Economy, Cross-border Finance and Regional Cooperation" aims to promote high-quality economic and trade cooperation between China, Singapore and other countries in the region.
