On May 9, Ambassador Cao Zhongming attended the "Invest in Tianjin" Singapore Session and delivered a speech. Mr.Li Wenhai, Vice Mayor of Tianjin, and Mr. Teng Yuchang, Director of the International Relations and Cooperation Division of Singapore's Ministry of National Development attended the conference with many other guests.

 Ambassador Cao said in his speech that faced with rising unilateralism and protectionism, China is willing to strengthen solidarity and coordination with all countries to jointly address the challenges, uphold the multilateral trading system, and defend international fairness and justice. China will continue to pursue high-level opening-up and offer more opportunities to the world. Tianjin and Singapore enjoy extensive and fruitful cooperation. Tianjin Eco-City is a model of bilateral cooperation between China and Singapore. We accept that both sides further tap the potential for pragmatic cooperation, and achieve more results.

 The event was attended by nearly 60 government and business representatives from Singapore and Tianjin.
