On April 29, Ambassador Cao Zhongming and his wife Madam Yang Qing visited Nanyang Girls' High School and attended a dialogue session of the school' s 2025“China Immersion Programme.” Minister-Counsellor Han Jun was also present.

In his remarks, Ambassador Cao noted that the bilingual and bicultural talents nurtured by the school are a new generation of envoys for China-Singapore friendship. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore. The youth should carry forward this friendship, deepen mutual understanding, and work together to advance the All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership. Ambassador Cao expressed his warm welcome to the Singaporean youth to visit China. He encouraged them to experience China immersively through direct observations and hands-on participation.

Ambassador Cao also talked with students on the topics regarding the significance of China-Singapore intergovernmental cooperation projects, opportunities for mutual learning in social governance between the two nations, the role of youth in fostering China-Singapore friendship, China’s strategies in responding to the U.S. tariff war, and other matters.
